In Perth western Australia My sister opted for this on Tuesday and as I was in Thailand I tuned in with the magic of FB live. The event was invitation on and not a general broadcast and so no laws were broken. One could argue another case however this was not what was intended and I doubt any jury or judge would wasted tax payers money on trying any case.
That aside the event had many people in her garden and many watching online. There was a party type atmosphere as my sister thanked everyone and then drank the prepared medicine. Assured she would simple pass to sleep and die my sister went ahead. This was not the case as she gagged and struggled to breath for 2 minutes.
In Thailand they have a living Will where intervention is withheld, do not resuscitate DNR and only pain killers given, certainly a more humane way to check out.
All is done now and my sister is peaceful.
